Short Description of Instrument |
The Pediatric Test of Brain Injury (PTBI) measures neurocognitive and linguistic skills after brain injury in children. It is designed to be used in the acute stage for a baseline measure and then in subsequent stages of recovery. It is criterion-referenced and provides cutoffs for appropriate levels of ability for different ages for 10 subtests. |
Scoring |
The PTBI consists of ten subtests: Orientation Tasks, Following Commands, Word Fluency, What goes Together, Digit Span, Naming, Story-Retelling, Yes/no/maybe, Picture recall and Signature and Story retelling-Delayed. An ability score can be calculated for each subtest. |
